The Networks Festival is a self-funded initiative by Fito Network and Greaterthan Collective. We aim for the event to be accessible to all, while also meeting the needs of our organizing team and session hosts.

We have chosen a **gift economy ****approach to funding, inviting you to donate to the sessions you attend within capacity. We learned about this Contribution within Capacity model from Miki Kashtan, who invites everyone to “give the most they can without overstretching or resentment”.

The core idea behind this model is to move away from a transactional basis of money exchange, to a model grounded in values such as partnership, accessibility, sustainability and needs-based support. This gives more room both to the participants’ and our own needs as organisers.
